Description:

The NC Assistive Technology Expo is an exciting three-day event designed to increase awareness and provide current information about assistive technology. Participants will learn about the latest in assistive technology devices, services, strategies and community resources.

Who Should Attend: Professionals in a variety of disability related fields such as rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language, regular and special education, health and recreation and rehabilitation engineering, persons with disabilities and their family members, Vocational Rehabilitation and Independent Living staff, employers, product vendors, and human resource managers.

What: Conference offerings include an exhibit hall, 40 concurrent sessions, pre-conference sessions, poster session and a Keynote address.

Exhibit Hall: Open to the public $FREE of charge December 4th from 9:00 am - 6:30pm. The Hall will be closed from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm to prepare for the Exhibit Hall Celebration.

New! Exhibit Hall Celebration runs from 5:00-6:30 pm on December 4. to provide participants with additional time to visit booths, hors d’oeuvres, door prizes, and auction. Sponsorship of this event is available. Other new opportunities include: registration packet inserts, break sponsorship, and scholarship contributions.

Exhibit Booths and Sponsorship

Opportunities to sponsor - Scholarship, Food Event, Resource Table and Platinum/Gold/Silver levels – register by November 21, 2008.

Who Should Exhibit: Any company that provides AT equipment and/or services; limited booth spaces - register early to reserve: contact Susan Bell by Email: sbbell@nc.rr.com or Phone: 919-801-8497 (voice).

Exhibit Booths: Exhibit Hall open to public free of charge December 4 from 9:00 am - 6:30 pm (but closed from 4:00 – 5:00 pm to prepare for Exhibit Celebration; food for vendors at 4:30 pm in pre-function area). Each vendor space includes: 8x8 booth, sign with company name, skirted table, 2 chairs. Power and Internet access available from hotel for additional charge. Multiple booths available on a first come, first serve basis. Box lunches available for $12. Setup is December 3 from 12:00 -6:00 pm. Note: By registering, you agree to keep your booth open the entire show times.

Resource Table: If unable to exhibit, register to have your product literature displayed on a resource table. All literature must be shipped to NC AT Expo at North Raleigh Hilton, 3415 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27609-7330, Attention: Julie Dutchess and arrive by December 2.
